1. General Scope of Adjudication

The Executive Committee will select a strict quota of three (3) official judges for each track to serve during the proposed competition window slated for March to April 2027:

NYEL Season 3 (Essay Writing Track): Focuses on deep, creative, and long-form thematic essay writing prompts.
NYELPC ’27 (Press Conference Track): Focuses on specialized on-the-spot campus journalism categories (Editorial, News, Feature, and Science & Technology Writing). All 3 selected judges will collectively evaluate all 4 core categories.

2. Eligibility & Screening Parameters

Universal Requirement: Absolute neutrality. Applicants must have no direct personal, familial, or institutional coaching ties to any active competitor in their applied event.
AI & Plagiarism Detection: A sharp eye for authentic human writing and a strict commitment to enforcing league mandates prohibiting unauthorized AI-generated text.

🌟 Special Eligibility Rule for Past Champions

Champions of Season 2 and NYELPC ’26 are explicitly eligible and highly encouraged to apply. Please take note that being a past champion does NOT mean automatic admission into the panel. It fast-tracks your eligibility to enter the Screening Phase where your evaluation profiles will be meticulously reviewed.

3. Timeline of Phased Activities

Phase I (Application Window): June 14 – August 31, 2026 (Until 11:59:59 PM)
Phase II (Technical Vetting & Screening): September 10 – 14, 2026
Phase III (Final Appointment & NDA Signing): September 19 – 20, 2026

4. Security & Credential Regulations

Upon successful final appointment, the selected Board of Judges will receive their Unique Identification Card (UIC) via their registered email. The UIC is issued strictly for security and official identity verification to prove legitimate status and will automatically expire upon the conclusion of NYEL Season 3 and NYELPC ’27.

5. Data Privacy Accord

Pursuant to the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (R.A. 10173), all uploaded profiles, CVs, and documents will be handled with strict confidentiality. Non-selected dossiers will be completely purged from the system on September 20, 2026.
